JOB OVERVIEW
As a Forklift Operator you will be responsible for transporting materials between jobs, plants, and facilities while ensuring the loads are secure. You will also assist the Shipping and Receiving Department with inventory, loading and unloading, and other miscellaneous tasks.
DUTIES
- Operate forklifts to move materials around the facility and plants
- Ensure efficient and safe transportation of materials and products
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts for safety and maintenance needs and report any issues or damages
- Load and unload goods and materials from delivery vehicles
- Ensure loads are secure and properly distributed
- Stacking empty pallets and reorganizing the storage areas as needed
- Perform daily equipment checks
- Using equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
- Adhere to safety procedures and standards at all times
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Proven work experience as a Forklift Operator
- Ability to pass forklift certification upon hire
- Ability to pass a pre employment physical
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at one time
