Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, skid steer
- and pallet jacks to load and unload materials with precision
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA standards to ensure safety for yourself and team members
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage
- Perform materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing, and transporting goods within the yard
- Support order picker activities by efficiently selecting products for customer orders or internal use
- Maintain mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment to troubleshoot minor issues and coordinate repairs when necessary
Experience
- Proven distribution experience with a focus on order picking and materials handling
- Prior experience operating forklifts, skid steer
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols
- Experience in shipping & receiving operations with attention to detail in verifying shipments
- Supervisor experience or leadership roles are a plus but not required
- Mechanical aptitude for understanding equipment functionality and performing basic troubleshooting
