About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our healthy and growing finance team. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles, a proactive mindset, and an ability to think through and document complex issues.
Position Overview
The Accountant will be a vital addition to our accounting team. Responsible for participating in our general accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and proactively supporting the financial close, budgeting and forecasting processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper recording of transactions
- Review and reconcile ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Adhere to financial close schedule to ensure timely completion of work
- Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
- Develop budgets and forecasts as needed
- Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance initiatives
-Understand and execute intercompany transactions
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
- Work independently on special projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
-understanding of accrual-based accounting principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
- Public Accounting experience helpful
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop preferred
- Minimal seasonality cycle, minimal overtime necessary
