Staff Accountant

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to support a finance team in Colfax, Washington. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions such as billing, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes. Responsibilities:

• Generate and process customer invoices promptly and accurately, ensuring adherence to company policies and contractual terms.

• Manage accounts receivable by addressing discrepancies and maintaining effective communication with clients.

• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure accurate billing records and resolve customer concerns efficiently.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet items.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reconciliations while suggesting process enhancements.

• Assist in month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience demonstrating attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, with preference for experience with an ERP system

• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

• Expertise in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and improve processes.
