Duties
- Prepare concrete surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and repairing to ensure optimal adhesion for epoxy coatings
- Mix and apply epoxy resins, primers, sealers, and topcoats with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Read blueprints, schematics, and project plans to understand specific flooring requirements and layout details
- Use hand tools such as trowels, squeegees, grinders, and buffing machines to achieve smooth finishes
- Ensure proper surface preparation by caulking joints, sealing cracks, and performing floor care procedures
- Coordinate with project managers and other tradespeople for seamless installation workflows
- Maintain safety protocols on construction sites while handling chemicals and heavy equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation, especially epoxy systems, with a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and floor plan layouts
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and floor care equipment such as buffing machines
- Experience with tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and remodeling is a plus
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and general construction painting
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on safety standards and quality craftsmanship
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and interpret technical drawings
