Front Desk Agent: Job Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to manage the guest experience from arrival to departure, acting as the operational "heart" of the hotel.
- Check-in & Check-out: Facilitate the registration process, verify identities, assign rooms, and process departures with accuracy and speed.
- Guest Service: Act as the main point of contact for guest requests, providing information on hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining.
- Financial Transactions: Process credit card authorizations, cash payments, and guest billing; maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
- Internal Coordination: Communicate room status updates to Housekeeping and report maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
- Issue Resolution: Listen to guest concerns, offer immediate solutions or "service recovery," and escalate complex issues to the Front Office Manager.
- Reservation Management: Handle incoming phone calls, manage future bookings, and optimize room inventory to maximize occupancy.
- Safety & Security: Follow all emergency procedures and maintain guest privacy by strictly adhering to data protection and key control policies.
Front Desk Agent: Qualifications

- Experience: A minimum of 1 year in customer service, retail, or a hospitality-related environment is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills; the ability to communicate with a diverse range of international guests.
- Technical Proficiency: Prior experience with Property Management Systems (PEP) and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Personal Attributes: A warm, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- The ability to remain calm and collected under pressure or during peak "rush" hours.
- Strong attention to detail regarding guest preferences and financial records.
- Physical & Schedule Requirements:
- Ability to stand for the duration of a shift.
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
