Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SMT Soldering Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount technology (SMT) and soldering techniques to ensure high-quality electronic products. Duties
- Precisely assemble PCBs by placing surface mount components using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment.
- Perform soldering of components onto PCBs following IPC 610 standards to ensure reliable electrical connections.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to accurately complete tasks.
- Inspect solder joints and assembled boards for quality compliance, identifying and correcting defects as needed.
- Use calipers, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing tools to verify component placement and circuit functionality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with quality to troubleshoot issues related to PCB assembly and soldering processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in surface mount technology (SMT) assembly and soldering within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with PCB design, schematics, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly principles.
- Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies and soldering quality requirements.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, calipers, and testing instruments such as ohmmeters.
- Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
