What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete laborer/finisher position at Whites Excavating?
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking concrete laborer & finisher to join our growing team. We take pride in delivering high-quality residential and commercial concrete work throughout Southeast Michigan and are looking for someone who shares that commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Form, pour, finish, and cure concrete
- Assist with concrete preparation, grading, and site cleanup
- Set forms, place rebar, and install reinforcement as needed
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Perform broom, smooth, and decorative finishes
- Work efficiently with the crew to complete projects on schedule
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean job site
Qualifications:
- Previous concrete experience preferred (finishing experience is a plus)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred
