Usher
Overview: Reporting to the Usher Supervisor, ushers are responsible for ensuring a positive experience for all in attendance at Turtle Creek Stadium. This position actively engages fans by greeting them, answering questions, checking tickets, offering stadium guidance, and ensuring their general safety while inside the stadium.
Principle duties and responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and engaging with guests at the entry to the stadium
- Ticket Scanning
- Wristbanding appropriate guests
- Directing spectators to appropriate seats or areas within the stadium
- Checking tickets for accuracy
- Observation of guidelines for ensuring the safety of guests
- Answering general questions from fans and spectators
- Remaining actively engaged through the conclusion of the event
- Guide fans efficiently and effectively in the event of an emergency
- Guide and supervise Bounce House/Speed Pitch Operations for fan safety
- Assist with post-game tote removal as directed by the Operations Manager
- Parking attendant
- In Game Clean
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with spectators, coworkers, and supervisors
- Must be willing to work in both a team setting and alone in certain areas
- Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and loud environment
- Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional days according to baseball and events schedules
- Must be able to understand written and/or verbal instructions
- Must be punctual to call times and meeting assignments
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- While performing duties, employees are often required to climb stairs, reach, kneel, or crouch.
- An employee must show the ability to communicate effectively via two-way radio.
