Job Function
- Manage all aspects of state and federal electronic filings, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs with exceptional attention to detail.
- Conduct basic legal research and assist in summarizing relevant case law and statutes.
- Support discovery requests, responses, and depositions by gathering, organizing, and reviewing materials.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files to ensure efficient and accurate document management.
- Prepare trial exhibits and presentations, proactively anticipating attorney needs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
- 2 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or related role preferred; however, we will train candidates with strong potential and relevant transferable skills.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Strong technological aptitude and comfort learning new systems.
- Family law experience is a plus.
