Head of Global Asset Servicing

Our client, a traded global alternative asset manager, is seeking a Head of Global Asset Servicing that will lead this function for the firm. This is a hybrid position!

This individual will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end asset servicing functions, with a particular emphasis on bank debt portfolios, corporate actions, and loan servicing. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage high-volume, complex workflows, drive process transformation, and maintain strong relationships across global teams and third-party providers.

Job Function

• In Office Policy: Hybrid 4/1; Friday is WFH
• Leadership & Oversight
• Lead the Global Asset Servicing team across New York, Los Angeles, and Mumbai
• Act as the primary escalation point for asset servicing issues, breaks, and risk events
• Partner closely with investment teams, middle office, finance, treasury, and trustees
• Service Provider Management
• Oversee and manage fund administrators, custodians, and trustees
• Identify recurring issues and implement long-term, scalable solutions
• Ensure strong governance and accountability across third-party relationships
• Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
• Drive automation and workflow optimization, reducing manual processes
• Evaluate and implement industry tools and system enhancements
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency
• Reconciliation & Risk Management
• Oversee daily reconciliations between internal systems and external parties
• Identify systemic breaks and implement root-cause solutions
• Maintain robust quality control and risk mitigation frameworks
• Reporting & Audit
• Develop and present KPIs and performance metrics to senior leadership
• Coordinate asset servicing audit requests with auditors, consultants, and regulators (e.g., SEC)
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards
  

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in investment operations, asset servicing, or loan operations, preferably within alternative asset management
• Strong expertise in corporate actions and bank debt / loan servicing
• Hands-on experience with Wall Street Office (WSO)
• Proven ability to manage global teams and complex operational environments
• Deep experience working with fund administrators, custodians, and institutional client bases (pensions, insurance, sovereigns, etc.)
• Demonstrated success driving process improvement, automation, and scalable infrastructure
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business lines
