Whiteboard Federal is seeking a Software Test Engineer to work in a fast-paced environment, including working with multiple project teams, platforms, architectures, and diverse technologies. Candidates will design, develop, test, and implement software systems using object-oriented design. Develop unit and integration test procedures. Update and create new automation/manual test scripts based on change requests and defects and execute test scripts to ensure application is fully compliant with specifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing test validation scripts using program-designated languages (e.g., Java and Python).
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and test methodologies.
- Experience with automated test tools, including Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cypress.
- Experience with the effective execution of automation processes.
- Ability to analyze requirements and formulate design.
- Ability to test both front end and back applications.
- Experience with scripting languages.
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with the documentation and communication of issues found during any test cycle.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate professional experience in a technical field.
- Experience with automated and manual testing.
- Ability to communicate with partners and non-technical users.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Model View Controller (MVC) applications using Spring MVC or a similar framework.
- Experience with different types of testing, including functional, user acceptance, usability, automated, performance, and SOAP.
- Knowledge of management tools, including Jira or Confluence.
