Whiteboard Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide mission-critical support to our customers. The ideal candidate will work closely with development and system engineering personnel to document, coordinate, and communicate releases.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructures.
- Experience maintaining cloud/on-prem hybrid architectures.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Configure and manage operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows).
- Experience managing security and policies.
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Perform moderately complex network designs using existing technology.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes-based scalable architectures.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor or Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated professional experience in supporting IT environments.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using scripting for task automation, data transfer, etc.
- Monitor application and operating system performance; analyze, document and remediate incidents.
Desired Skills:
- Experience transitioning to a cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
