Part-Time Bookkeeper
Whitehaus Collection is looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper to join our team.
This role maintains accurate financial records, processes daily accounting transactions, prepares reports, and supports the month-end and year-end close.
This is a part-time, onsite position.
A Little About Your Day:
- Enter and code company expenses to the appropriate accounts
- Process daily customer invoices and ensure they are accurate and complete
- Apply customer payments, reconcile payment activity, and follow up on past-due invoices using accounts receivable aging reports
- Enter and manage vendor bills and process ACH payments
- Maintain accurate, organized financial, customer, and vendor information current in QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts monthly, ensuring transactions are recorded in the correct period
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, including commission and customer/vendor rebate reports
- Research and resolve discrepancies in accounts and transactions
- Assist with month-end close, including recording journal entries for accruals and adjustments
- Perform other bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed
What You'll Need for Success:
- 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience – required
- Proven experience using QuickBooks Online – required
- Strong understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ACH/vendor payments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Occasional movement throughout the office as needed
