Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with maintaining accurate financial records.
- Process and reconcile company credit card activity, including obtaining approvals and recording transactions.
- Prepare journal entries related to cash deposits and other routine transactions.
- Manage petty cash activity and reconciliations.
- Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing and vendor payments as needed.
- Maintain fixed asset records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with weekly payroll processing, including reviewing timecards, missed punches, PTO, commissions, mileage and employee expenses.
- Assist with reconciling weekly payroll and maintaining related records.
- Calculate and submit weekly 401(k) contributions and maintain supporting documentation.
- Assist with sales tax filings and payments across multiple states.
- Maintain organized employee and accounting files.
- Support benefits administration and other administrative responsibilities as needed.
- Assist with special projects and provide general office support when necessary.
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting or related experience.
- Experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations and general accounting transactions.
- Payroll experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel and general computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Self-motivated, dependable and comfortable working independently.
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist outside of traditional accounting responsibilities when needed.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
