Role Description The Dental Hygienist is a full-time, on-site role based in York, PA. This role is responsible for performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and other preventive hygiene services, as well as taking and reviewing dental radiographs. The Dental Hygienist will educate patients on oral hygiene practices, periodontal disease, and overall dental care, and will collaborate with the dentist to support treatment plans. Daily tasks include reviewing medical histories, maintaining accurate clinical records, ensuring sterilization and infection control standards, and contributing to a friendly, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Dentistry and Dental Care to support comprehensive patient treatment.
- Candidates should possess thorough Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis skills for preventive and routine care.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Periodontal Disease to assist in assessment, treatment, and patient education.
- Active state license as a Dental Hygienist (Pennsylvania) and current CPR certification.
- Attention to detail, adherence to infection control protocols, and accurate charting skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages and work collaboratively with a small practice team.
- Previous experience in a family or general dentistry practice is preferred but not required.
