Experienced Seamstress / Bridal & Costume Gown Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our bridal and costume boutique. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who is passionate about garment construction, quality craftsmanship, and providing excellent customer service.

Position Responsibilities:

• Create custom gowns and costume pieces from start to finish, including pattern interpretation, cutting, construction, fitting, alterations, and final finishing.
• Operate a Juki commercial sewing machine proficiently and efficiently.
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Perform bridal gown and formalwear alterations with precision.
• Conduct fittings and make adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for clients.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Assist customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience sewing bridal gowns, formalwear, costumes, or custom garments.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and pattern-based sewing.
• Experience using industrial/commercial sewing equipment, including Juki machines.
• Ability to create garments from scratch through final fitting and completion.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Experience:

• Bridal boutique, costume design, formalwear, or custom dressmaking experience.
• Advanced alteration and fitting skills.
• Experience working with delicate fabrics, lace, beading, and specialty materials.

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (depending on your needs)

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience.

Pay: $23.84 - $28.71 per hour
