Responsibilities
- Assist in leasing activities by showing available units, explaining lease terms, and upselling community amenities to prospective residents
- Support property operations by coordinating maintenance requests, conducting inspections, and ensuring property upkeep aligns with company standards
- Manage tenant relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and adherence to landlord-tenant laws and Fair Housing regulations
- Maintain accurate data entry within property management software such as Yardi or OneSite, including lease documentation, rent payments, and resident records
- Prepare legal documents, contracts, and notices while ensuring compliance with Section 8 guidelines and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular property inspections to monitor property maintenance needs and facilitate facilities management efforts
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, phone etiquette, and supporting legal administrative processes related to property management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in property leasing and customer service
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and Fair Housing regulations
- Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, contracts negotiation, and legal administrative procedures
- Excellent conflict management skills combined with effective negotiation abilities to resolve tenant issues amicably
- Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and customer relationship management tools
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
