Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics with precision and care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, taking medical imaging, and performing oral examinations.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans clearly to patients.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies.
- Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties to provide top-tier care.
- Ensure compliance with all medical and dental regulations including HIPAA standards for patient privacy.
Qualifications
- Valid license as a General Dentist with state licensing requirements fulfilled.
- Proven experience in dental office settings or clinics demonstrating proficiency in general dentistry procedures.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms.
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures preferred.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient flow.
