Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Full Charge Accountant located in Rockaway, NJ. The Full Charge Accountant will manage all accounting operations, perform monthly reconciliations, prepare financial statements, and oversee budgeting and forecasting activities. Responsibilities also include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and preparing tax returns and reports. The role requires close collaboration with the Property Owners Association and other stakeholders to ensure effective financial management.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in general accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Familiarity with tax preparation, compliance regulations, and audit processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Quickbooks
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff and stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Prior experience in property management accounting or non-profit accounting is a plus
