Lead Operator - Carton Manufacturing (Print & Packaging)

$20–$32/hr | Monday–Thursday 7:15am-5:45pm| 4-Day Work Week

WLE Print Solutions manufactures custom folding cartons (boxes) for the cannabis industry. We're a small, fast-paced shop where quality, teamwork, and problem-solving matter. If you enjoy working with machinery and seeing the finished product at the end of the day, we'd love to meet you.

We're looking for an experienced machine operator-or someone mechanically inclined who wants to learn-to operate and maintain our digital press, die cutter, and folder gluer. You'll play a key role in producing high-quality printed packaging while keeping production running efficiently.

About the Role

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used to manufacture printed folding cartons. On a typical day, you'll set up production jobs, monitor print and carton quality, make machine adjustments as needed, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly. You'll have strong communication with team members, and your leaders to ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Success in this role requires someone who is dependable, mechanically minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working mostly by themselves in a production environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for someone with experience operating manufacturing, printing, packaging, converting, or other industrial equipment. Experience with digital presses, die cutters, folder gluers, or similar machinery is highly valued but not required.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, comfortable troubleshooting equipment, able to read production instructions, and committed to producing consistent, high-quality work. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team are essential.

Physical Requirements

This role requires standing, walking and sometimes fast movements for most of a 10-hour shift, frequent use of hands and arms to operate machinery, and the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50–70 pounds. Employees should be comfortable bending, reaching, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail. The work environment includes manufacturing equipment and moderate production noise.
