White House Clinics is excited to introduce our Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program! Our “learn while you earn” program creates a pathway for employment directly into a healthcare career. This academic program is a paid apprenticeship, so participants are paid to attend and complete coursework. Upon completion of the program, apprentices will sit for the national certification exam to earn the credentials of CCMA – Clinical Certified Medical Assistant. Medical Assistants fill an invaluable role in the delivery of healthcare services to our patients. As frontline caregivers, they partner with clinical professionals and are vitally important in the care team.

Program Details:
- Participants are paid for full-time hours of work during the apprenticeship.
- The program is a 10-week training, combining classroom work, clinical skills lab, and externship hours in a clinical setting.
- At the end of the coursework, participants will sit for the national certification exam.
- In-person instruction occurs Monday – Friday.
- High school diploma required.
- Tuition costs are covered by WHC.

Apprenticeship Program Participant Responsibilities:
- Attend class Monday through Friday in a classroom setting and will consist of a combination of in person and online course work. Additionally, each week will have skills lab assignments and training.
- Actively engage in classroom trainings, participate in skills building lab sessions to enhance skills.
- As training progresses, apprentices will be assigned hours shadowing and training in a medical clinical setting to build skills and experience the work in a real setting.
- Apprentices will complete all assigned coursework by deadlines outlined in syllabus. Failure to complete coursework may result in expulsion from the program.
- In-person attendance at classroom trainings is a requirement of the program; excessive absences will inhibit the ability to successfully complete coursework and may impact the participants ability to successfully complete the program.
- Sign a 2-year work agreement as a Medical Assistant within the White House Clinics organization.
- Follow credentialing guidelines regarding scope of work and practice throughout the apprenticeship program.
- Complete EHR training and coursework relative to clinical courses.
