Speech Language Pathologist

This role is essential in providing high-quality speech therapy services to residents, focusing on early intervention strategies to enhance communication skills and overall patient care.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals to support the resident's needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in speech therapy, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Previous senior living experience working with senior populations is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and language development.
• Familiarity with early intervention practices and patient care techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
