We're hiring an experienced Med Surg/Stepdown RN for an urgent travel assignment in New York! If you're confident managing telemetry patients, cardiac drips, wound care, and high-acuity medical-surgical cases, this is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team.
Position Details:
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Stepdown (Telemetry/PCU)
Location: Rome, NY
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Floating to Medical-Surgical units required
Every other weekend and holiday required
Immediate opening
Requirements:
Active NY RN License
Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg/Stepdown or Telemetry experience
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Certification required before the start date
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Strong IV therapy skills
Experience managing cardiac drips
Ability to accurately interpret EKG rhythms
Experience with a variety of wound care treatments
Ability to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed
