Position Summary
The Plug & Abandonment Assistant supports offshore well decommissioning (P&A) activities by providing hands-on assistance with equipment preparation, rig-up/rig-down, material handling, and general operational support. This role ensures that P&A operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The position requires offshore travel, extended rotational schedules, and adherence to high safety standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English with effective communication skills
- Previous experience in well plugging, cementing, or abandonment support.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing job requirements and offshore conditions.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and safety focused.
- Assist P&A supervisors and crews with day-to-day offshore abandonment activities.
- Support wellsite operations, including rigging up/down, handling tools, and staging equipment.
- Safely operate and maintain basic abandonment tools and support equipment.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tubulars, and supplies on offshore facilities.
- Perform pre-job inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Follow safety procedures, stop-work authority, and company HSE requirements at all times.
- Assist with housekeeping, inventory control, and recordkeeping on location.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training.
- Provide general support to the P&A team as directed by supervisors.
- Frequently requires exertion of 10β50 lbs. of force.
- Occasionally may require exertion of 50 lbs. of force.
