Duties
- Assist Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service standards.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high performance, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Support menu planning and recipe development, incorporating dietary considerations and catering requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen.
- Coordinate with the catering team for banquet events, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.
- Lead shift management duties, including assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and resolving operational issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Experience creating entrees from scratch and catering proficiency preferred.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated expertise in banquet service, event catering, and dietary department operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and food service management practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and certifications relevant to the food industry.
- Experience working in restaurant or hospitality environments with a focus on serving high-quality cuisine.
