What are the responsibilities and job description for the White County Schools Registered Behavior Technician position at White County Schools?
As an RBT working at White County High School, you will work to provide specialized support in students' Least Restrictive Environments (LREs). You will empower students to navigate the complexities of high school social dynamics, manage their internal emotions, and move toward a future of independence.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification from the BACB (Required)
- Completion of 40-hour RBT training and passing the RBT Competency Assessment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Ability to follow and implement complex Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) with high fidelity.
- Proficiency in data collection software and digital documentation.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, BCBAs, and families.
- Knowledge of Tennessee-approved de-escalation and crisis intervention protocols (e.g., CPI or QBS).
- Understanding of HIPAA and FERPA confidentiality requirements.
