White County Corrections Department Sergeant (internal promotion)

Applicants must be a current employee of the White County Sherriff's Office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Supervision and Leadership:

• Directly supervise and manage correctional deputies within the facility.
• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the smooth operation of the correctional facility.

Security and Safety:

• Maintain a secure and safe environment for both staff and inmates.
• Conduct regular security checks and inspections to identify and address potential safety concerns.

Inmate Management:

• Oversee inmate activities and ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies within the correctional facility.

Training and Development:

• Provide training to correctional deputies on policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the correctional division.

Policy Adherence:

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing corrections facilities.
• Enforce policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
