What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at White Construction?

The White Construction team is looking for a Estimator to join the team.
The Estimator will work with a team to complete the due diligence necessary to estimate the cost of work associated with a project. The Estimator will also oversee the client bid submittal process.

The Estimator will work with a team to complete the due diligence necessary to estimate the cost of work associated with a project. The Estimator will also oversee the client bid submittal process.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Communicate with owners, subcontractors and vendors
- Review and understand contract specifications and drawings
- Identify, define and quantify potential project risks
- Perform quantity take-offs and scope review for estimate preparation
- Develop pricing based on historical production data
- Evaluate and compare subcontractor/supplier quotes
- Conduct site visits and perform research prior to bid
- Assist other staff with subcontractor bid list preparation
- Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience
- Prior experience in earth moving, bridges, structural or underground utilities preferred

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be authorized to work in the US now and in the future without company sponsorship.

- Safety and compliance training on the job.
