What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop Administrator position at White and Williams LLP?
Philadelphia office of White and Williams LLP, a large multi-practice law firm, is seeking a Desktop Administrator responsible for managing and supporting the firm’s end-user computing environment (~400 users), with a focus on Microsoft 365, Intune-managed endpoints, and secure, standardized desktop/laptop operations. Please note that this is a hybrid role, the position requires you to work in the office three days/week. EOE/M/F/D/V
Requirements
- Windows Application Packaging and Deployment with SCCM and Intune
- Windows OS Deployment using SCCM and Autopilot
- Manage Windows environments including patching and updates, driver management, group policies and Windows configuration using SCCM and Intune
- Scripting (Bat scripts and PowerShell)
- Device Procurement and lifecycle management
- Monitor system health, capacity and availability
- Managing Identity and access platforms such as Active Directory, Entra ID, DUO
- Provide level 2/3 Support
- Assisting with the management of VMware environment
- Management of Virtual desktop Infrastructure including AVD and MS remote Desktop Services
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
- 3–5 years in systems administration or desktop/endpoint engineering
- Hands-on experience managing Windows desktops/laptops in a business environment
- Networking experience is a plus
- Experience supporting a mid-sized environment (~200–800 users)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail
