The Admissions Associate plays a significant role in shaping the initial impressions and ongoing experiences of families throughout the student application and enrollment process. This person understands and exhibits a professional manner at all times, realizing appearance, actions and comments are a reflection upon the school. The Admissions Associate attends admission and communication events, as well as other school events as requested. This is a 12 month full time position requiring prior admissions experience within a school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to oversee all aspects of the admissions process, including communication with prospects, applicants, and incoming students, reviewing applications, and promoting the retention of accepted students to matriculation.
- Assist with planning and implementing open houses, new family events, and various other admissions activities, to promote recruitment and retention efforts.
- Meet with prospective students and their families during campus visits and lead campus tours.
- Assist in the tracking of admission data.
- Implement and manage the Host Family Program.
- Maintain and update New Family Portal.
- Work closely with Marketing and Advancement (development) Departments, as well as Heads of Section.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.
- Must have prior experience in an admissions role within a school environment.
- Knowledge of Montessori and/or IB education preferred.
- Competency with the use of technology; including student information database systems, preferably Veracross.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team as well as independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must be friendly, outgoing and comfortable interacting with a wide audience of faculty, students, and within the community.
- Must be available and open to working a variable schedule including some nights, weekends for scheduled events throughout the year.
