We are a locally owned frozen custard shop focused on high-quality products, great customer experience and operating a fun team focused environment. Our custard is made fresh daily in-store and we take pride in our custard, our team and in running a clean & efficient store.
We’re hiring an Assistant Store Manager to help lead the store day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on leadership role to support the General Manager — you’ll run shifts independently, coach team members and make sure everything from product quality to cleanliness meets our standards.
This role is best suited for someone reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable leading a team of high school employees. This position will be scheduled opposite of the GM and will work 35-38 hours/5 - 6 days per week. Schedule may vary slightly week to week, but your typical schedule would be:
- Tuesday–Thursday: closing shifts (4-10)
- Friday: opening shift (10-4)
- Saturday & Sunday: opening or closing shifts
Pay & Benefits
- Base of $17–$19/hour tips (based on experience)
- 2 paid holidays 2 paid vacation days after 6 months

What You’ll Do
- Run the store independently during your shifts (open/close as scheduled)
- Lead and manage team members, keeping everyone on task and off their phones
- Coach staff on customer service, product quality and accuracy
- Bake cookies, decorate cakes and assist with general prep as needed
- Train new hires and reinforce expectations with staff
- Keep the store clean, stocked and organized at all times
- Assist the GM with scheduling, ordering and general operations
- Handle customer questions or concerns and resolve issues appropriately
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous leadership experience in restaurant, retail or food service
- Comfortable supervising and directing high school/teen employees
- Strong attention to detail — especially with food presentation and cleanliness
- Reliable and consistent — shows up on time with infrequent call-off's
- Able to work evenings and weekends as part of a set schedule
- Able to stand for 8 hours and lift 25 lbs
- Must be 18 and a high school graduate
- Someone looking for a longer-term role, this is not a temp or seasonal position
- Food Safety Certification is a plus, but not required to be hired
