What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Whiskey 'N Rye?
The Host/Hostess is the guest’s first point of contact with WNR staff and sets the tone for all interactions. The Host/Hostess should be genuinely friendly, warmly greet and interact with every guest. Each Host/Hostess should go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction by providing amazing guest service coupled with teamwork.
Detailed Job Duties:
Job specific duties of the Host/Hostess position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Engaging with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Communication of guest's needs to the Runner-Busser, Server, Bartender, and Management.
- Helping the Runner-Busser, when there are no guests to be seated by wiping tables, clearing glassware and napkins from tables to ensure wait time/seating efficiency.
- Helping both Servers and Runner-Bussers in refilling waters, getting extra utensils, napkins and condiments for guests if the flow business allows.
- Ability to communicate accurately estimated wait times, managing the flow of guest seating to accommodate guest requests
- The rotation of seating by section so not to overwhelm staff, managing guest phone calls, and being able to answer general questions regarding WNR.
- Ensuring guest satisfaction upon guest departure by inquiring about the guest’s experience, addressing any issues mentioned and/or getting management involved to address any serious guest concerns. Additionally, providing a warm farewell, and inviting each guest to return back soon to WNR.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
