Job Summary
Join our team as a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter. In this role, you will provide exceptional care and exercise for dogs, ensuring their happiness, safety, and well-being. You’ll also offer reliable pet sitting services for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, bunnies, and other small pets.

Responsibilities
- Take dogs on daily walks, ensuring proper exercise and mental stimulation tailored to each pet’s needs
- Provide pet sitting services in clients’ homes or at designated locations, including overnight care when needed
- Administer pet care routines such as feeding, administering medication, litter box cleaning, and play time
- Handle animals safely using restraint techniques and animal handling skills to prevent stress or injury
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ behavior, health status, and special requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe environment during visits by cleaning up after pets and managing outdoor spaces responsibly
- Handle clients' keys, access codes, and property responsibly and confidentially
- Provide regular updates, photos, and messages to pet owners during visits.
Experience
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles is required
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Experience with pets is a plus for understanding health needs
- Outdoor work experience demonstrating comfort working in various weather conditions
- Customer service skills to build trustful relationships with pet owners and address their concerns confidently
- Genuine love for animals and a strong sense of responsibility for their care
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between client locations in Stamford and surrounding areas
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. Availability may be needed during:
- Mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings
- Weekdays and weekends
- Holidays and peak travel periods
Hours will depend on client bookings and business needs.
