Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall health status regularly, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Assist with medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols to ensure safety and compliance.
• Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges.
• Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards.
• Document resident interactions, health updates, and incident reports accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Drive residents when needed for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe transportation practices.

Experience

• Prior assisted living or nursing home experience is highly preferred, especially in senior care or memory care settings.
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in group home environments.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques.
• Hands-on experience with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, CPR, first aid, and manual handling procedures.
• Familiarity with home & community care practices and long-term care environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and compassion.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, team members, and emergency responders.
