Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Shuttle Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for managing shuttle operations, assisting drivers, and ensuring excellent communication with passengers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has exceptional problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally communicate with drivers and passengers, ensuring smooth operations
- Efficiently receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls to drivers and customers
- Create, update, and manage records and reservations for passengers, drivers, and shuttles
- Maintain real-time coordination of shuttle schedules and logistics
- Provide top-tier customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns
- Support drivers in navigating routes and handling unexpected situations
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to pass a federally mandated DOT drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior experience in transportation dispatch, logistics, or customer service (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for record-keeping and scheduling
- Exceptional over-the-phone customer service skills
