- Charlotte, NC: $101,610 – $135,645
- Newark, NJ: $111,771 – $186,648

Schedule & Travel:
- Flexible schedule based on travel demands
- 25–60% regional travel (typically 3–4 days per week) to project sites within a 50–75 mile radius

Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager, Multi-Site to oversee health, safety, and environmental programs across multiple commercial construction sites within a designated region. This role is responsible for driving safety performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety across project teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong construction safety experience, the ability to manage multiple sites, and a proactive approach to hazard prevention and workforce engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE policies and practices across assigned project sites
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to project teams to ensure consistent safety implementation
- Conduct site assessments, audits, and inspections to identify risks and enforce compliance
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and deliver safety training, orientations, and ongoing education programs
- Monitor proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
- Evaluate job sites for hazards including noise, toxic exposure, and environmental risks
- Document safety violations, unsafe conditions, and incident reports
- Support development of Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Safety & Health Management Programs (SHMP), and Project-Specific Safety Plans (PSSP)
- Lead safety meetings and reinforce best practices across teams and subcontractors
- Collaborate with leadership to improve overall safety performance and culture
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7 years of construction safety experience
- 1 year of experience as an on-site safety professional
- OSHA Outreach Trainer certification required
- Certified trainer in First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard control methods, and industrial hygiene
- Proven ability to manage safety across multiple project sites simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- BCSP certifications (CSP, ASP, GSP, OHST, CHST)
- Experience leading regional safety initiatives or teams
- Background in commercial construction environments
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Frequent travel to construction job sites and office locations
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing stairs
- Occasional lifting and movement of objects up to 20 pounds
- Use of computers and mobile devices for reporting and communication
