We are seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse in Sipsey, AL (35584) to provide quality patient care and clinical support in collaboration with healthcare providers. The nurse will perform patient assessments, assist with examinations and procedures, administer medications and immunizations, provide education, and support efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain patient medical histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Perform triage, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory testing.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered.
- Provide patient and family education on health, nutrition, diabetes, hypertension, preventive care, and other health needs.
- Conduct vision and hearing screenings and provide first aid during emergencies.
- Communicate with patients by phone and in person and coordinate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, clinical tracking systems, logs, and quality-assurance documentation.
- Communicate patient needs and clinical information to providers.
- Maintain clean, organized examination rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment.
- Monitor patient flow and respond to nursing tasks in a timely manner.
- Nursing degree/certificate of completion as a practical nurse.
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the State Board of Nursing.
- One to two years of practical nursing experience in ambulatory care setting.
