Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, triage, care planning, patient education, medication administration, provider assistance, care coordination, and health promotion. The RN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across the lifespan in pediatric, adult, women's health, family planning, and primary care clinics while supporting the mission and standards of Whatley Health Services.

• BSN or Associate Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• One to two years professional nursing experience in ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice nursing in the State of Alabama or one in which Alabama has a reciprocity agreement.
• Must possess knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of public health nursing.
• Must possess knowledge of available social resources for the care and treatment of the physically and mentally ill.
