What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Whalen Search Group?
We have a great opportunity for a Controller with one of our clients in the automotive aftermarket industry. This position is based in Springfield, MO and reports directly to the Director of Finance.
The role is responsible for general accounting, month/quarter/year-end close, billing, A/R, A/P, financial reporting, and corporate governance.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred) and at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated leadership. Public accounting experience—especially with manufacturing clients—is strongly preferred, along with experience in a multi-location manufacturing or distribution environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
- Public accounting experience with manufacturing clients
- Corporate governance experience with an ERP system
