Senior Manager, Commercial Operations - World Fuel Location: Guaynabo, Puerto Rico The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations is a high‑impact leadership role at the center of Puerto Rico’s energy and aviation supply chain. You will oversee the full commercial supply operation for the island—combining strategy, analytics, logistics, customer leadership, and operational excellence in one of the region’s most fast‑moving markets. This is a unique opportunity to lead a mission‑critical business for World Fuel while working closely with local partners, government entities, airport stakeholders, and global supply teams. What You’ll Do As the Senior Manager, you will own the end‑to‑end commercial and operational strategy for Puerto Rico, including: Supply Chain, Operations & Logistics Lead inventory planning and optimization across multiple supply points to ensure reliability, accuracy, and cost efficiency. Oversee vessel scheduling, port operations, truck logistics, and product movement to maintain safe and compliant operations. Manage fleet operations, transportation planning, and cost control initiatives. Commercial Leadership Drive supply decisions aligned with market conditions, customer demand, and P&L outcomes. Support sales teams on commercial initiatives and client‑facing opportunities. Strengthen customer relationships through proactive, high‑quality support. Regulatory, Financial, & Administrative Oversight Ensure full compliance with local fees, taxes, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with accounting, operations, FBOs, airlines, and service providers. Oversee local office administrative functions to support seamless business operations. Regional & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work as part of the LATAM Supply Team, contributing to supply strategy and operational excellence across the region. Engage regularly with internal global teams and external supply partners. What You Bring Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in international business, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, commercial operations, customer support, or P&L management. Experience supervising or leading teams. Education Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Skills & Capabilities Strong analytical and operational problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication abilities and strong command of English. High emotional intelligence and cultural fluency, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Solid understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and financial drivers. Knowledge of vessel and truck logistics, fuel inventory management, and (ideal but not required) jet fuel farm operations. Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to manage high‑stakes, time‑sensitive decisions. Geographic Scope & Travel Primary focus on the Puerto Rico market. Regular on‑island travel to operations, partners, and customer sites.
