Laser Machine Operator

SummaryPerforms Laser and CNC Press Brake machine operation functions, procedures, and maintenance. Responsible for making proper adjustments to machines and equipment to ensure quality and production goals are met. Also; operator is responsible to safely install and move materials at the laser with the aid and support of a manual crane or forklift. The operator must complete Jobs and responsibilities by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive, and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as may be deemed necessary from time to time.1. Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to operate the Laser and CNC Press Brake machine following the established safety guidelines and quality standards.2. Understand in full Laser machine operation and understanding programs to troubleshoot when needed.3. Use a variety of hand and power tools, computer, forklift and other equipment following the appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical tool changes at Laser and CNC machines.4. Manage inventory following established guidelines and procedures including labeling and locating parts, picking parts from appropriate locations in specified quantities to fill kits or bins, delivering parts to work areas, and recording and communicating inventory levels.5. Inspect, test parts and products as necessary, during and through assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.6. Work on a fast work area, removing complete cut parts from laser, stamp order number on them, and removing skeleton and extra material from laser table. All to minimize any downtime as this process step is very important to meet customer demands.7. Work extended hours, weekends, and start times to meet production goals.8. Maintain a clean, organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans, established procedures and 6S principles.9. Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes.10.
