We are seeking a skilled and dependable Outdoor Power Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and service a variety of outdoor power equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, generators, snow blowers, and other small-engine equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical abilities, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on outdoor power equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, blade sharpening, and filter replacement.
- Repair and replace defective components, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Conduct equipment inspections to ensure safety and proper operation.
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Communicate repair findings, estimates, and recommendations to customers and service managers.
- Assemble and prepare new equipment for sale and delivery.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Stay current on manufacturer service updates and training.
Qualifications
- Experience repairing small engines and outdoor power equipment.
- Knowledge of two-cycle and four-cycle engines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a hands-on shop environment.
