Overview: We're looking for an enthusiastic Outdoor Power Equipment Sales Associate to join our crew. This job is all about helping customers find the perfect lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers. You’ll also pitch in with some basic service tasks to keep things running smoothly, but your main goal is talking to people and closing deals. If you like outdoor gear and have a knack for sales, we’d love to have you on board!
Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Guide customers to the right equipment for their needs and budget.
- Show off product features and perks to get them excited and ready to buy.
- Boost sales by offering add-ons like accessories or maintenance plans.
- Stay in the loop on our products, deals, and what’s trending in the industry.
- Keep the showroom stocked and handle transactions like a pro.
- Assist with locating correct and selling correct parts on the phone and over the counter.
Customer Service:
- Build solid connections with customers to keep them coming back and spreading the word.
- Answer questions, sort out issues, and make sure they’re happy with their purchase.
- Share tips on using and caring for their equipment.
Light Service:
- Write service tickets at the counter and over the phone
- Team up with our repair techs for bigger jobs and keep customers updated.
- Spot chances to sell service extras during chats with customers.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sales (extra points if it’s with equipment or tools).
- Strong communication skills and a talent for convincing people.
- Basic know-how with outdoor power gear (gas, electric, or battery-powered).
- Comfortable using a computer for sales and inventory tasks.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet in the store.
- Driver’s license is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with brands like Stihl, Ariens, Gravely, Toro, or Scag.
- Some experience with small engines or repairs is a plus.
- Punctuality, self motivated, friendly.
