Summary


Under the direction of the Vice President, Loan Operations Manager, the Loan Operations Supervisor oversees day‑to‑day loan processing and servicing activities. This role is responsible for operational performance, quality and compliance standards, staff coaching and development, and reporting across multiple loan processing functions. The position ensures adherence to all bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements, and supervises all aspects of loan servicing, including payment posting, loan booking, and system reviews.


Essential Functions


  • Establish and maintain an efficient, positive and productive working environment by providing and requesting meaningful feedback. Set measurable goals while emphasizing the Bank and department’s objectives and goals. 
  • Manage, support, and develop team members’ performance by providing training and coaching by promoting critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills amongst the team.
  • Responsible for the proper and timely, booking and funding of all consumer, commercial, real estate, participation, and SBA loans.
  • Manage servicing functions and collateral management to include loan input, system data input, recording of loan documentation, loan payment postings, loan corrections, post-closing activities, payoffs, as well as support the review of loan documentation.
  • Responsible for new and on-going escrow functions to include the execution of property tax and insurance escrow disbursements, and year-end reporting.
  • Manage the timely and accurate monthly departmental and SBA reporting.
  • Assist credit and loan portfolio administration support such as coordination of document review, closings, and collateral value monitoring.
  • Verifies quality, completeness, and accuracy of supporting loan documentation to ensure proper UCC lien status.
  • Manage the post-closing function to ensure all Deeds of Trust, UCC’s and Security documents are accurate and the Bank is secured.
  • Utilize various reporting tools and the loan origination system to efficiently assign workflows in a manner that promotes a high level of customer service, efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the loan origination platform including a thorough understanding of the types of loans serviced and client dependencies on data provided by the platform.
  • Carries out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others in accordance with the Bank’s policy as well as ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Banking Regulations. Implement operation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and internal compliance requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Required Education, Experience, Skills


  • 5 years of banking/financial industry experience or Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and successfully manage a diverse group of professionals with the ability to effectively assess employee resources, strengths, and competencies.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders, peers, supporting staff and third-party partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrate strong technology proficiency, effectively utilizing loan origination systems, core banking platforms, reporting tools, and productivity applications to support efficient operations and data integrity.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, creativity, and independent decision‑making, exercising discretion and initiative while effectively prioritizing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state, and SBA loan compliance regulations, as well as internal bank policies, to ensure loans remain within established guidelines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding environment with frequently shifting priorities, where adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to take on multiple responsibilities are essential.
