This is a full-time on-site position located in Chicago, IL for the role of Parent Coordinator. The Parent Coordinator will engage with parents and caregivers to provide education, support, and resources that promote strong family and community connections. Primary responsibilities include coordinating parent education initiatives, facilitating effective communication between families and schools, conducting community outreach efforts, and collaborating with social service providers to enhance support systems. The role also involves organizing workshops, assisting families in accessing resources, and contributing to the development of educational programs within the community.
- Strong skills in Parent Education and knowledge of best practices for supporting family engagement
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening and interacting effectively with diverse groups
- Experience with Community Outreach and working collaboratively to build community partnerships
- Understanding of Social Services and the ability to connect families with necessary resources
- Background in Education is highly desirable
- Ability to work on-site in Chicago, IL and manage tasks independently
- Passion for community development with a collaborative and empathetic approach
