We are adding a Financial Planning Associate to expand planning capacity, strengthen follow-through, and elevate client experience. Position SummaryWorking closely with the Director of Financial Planning, the Financial Planning Associate plays a key role in the delivery of our planning work by turning raw client data into clear, actionable advice. You’ll gather and verify client data, build and iterate plans, prep meetings, track follow-ups, and help convert advice into well-executed actions without product-based incentives or conflicts. Core ResponsibilitiesPlan Construction & AnalysisGather, organize, and input client data into financial planning software Support the development and refinement of financial plans, including analysis using Monte Carlo simulations and other what-if scenarios Perform scenario modeling, including: Roth conversion strategies NUA vs. rollover analysis ESPP, ISO, and NSO strategies Sequence-of-returns stress testing Social Security and pension optimization Asset location analysis Maintain detailed notes of client correspondence, planning assumptions, and required follow-up actions QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or a related field Strong grasp of financial planning fundamentals Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Clear written communication and the ability to explain complex concepts simply PreferredCFP® certification completed or in progress Two or more years of experience in financial services Experience with financial planning software (RightCapital and/or eMoney) Familiarity with: Tax return review (Schedules 1–3, D, E, QBI, NIIT) Estate planning documents (wills, powers of attorney, revocable trusts; basic ILIT concepts) Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $60,000–$80,000, depending on experiencePaid Holidays and PTOComprehensive benefits package, including:Retirement plan with employer matchHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insuranceProfessional development support, including exam fees, continuing education, professional dues, and conference attendanceOnsite company-paid underground parkingWhy This Role Matters at RCMThis role allows senior advisors to focus on deep planning work and firm growth while you transform complex inputs into meaningful, actionable advice for clients.
