Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Backend Custom Home Superintendent to lead the finish stages of large High End Custom Residential projects. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of custom home building, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will drive collaboration among subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and construction specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape luxurious custom homes from eventual groundbreaking to final walkthrough, delivering exceptional results that exceed client expectations. Must be a "HANDS-ON" kind of person with reliable truck and tools. All our work is subcontracted, but you may be required to do pick up (punch) items getting homes ready to turn over to the client. Must be fast-paced, Multi talented, good with people skills and clean cut.
Duties
- Coordinate and supervise all phases of custom home construction, from drywall to finish work, ensuring seamless project flow.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, verifying work quality and adherence to project schedules using construction management software such as Sage or Buildertrend.
- Develop detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans proactively to meet deadlines.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings; interpret technical documents accurately for on-site implementation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on local custom home building or similar projects.
- Strong supervisory skills with a history of managing construction teams effectively.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes.
- Understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards; ability to enforce safety practices on-site.
- Technical skills including blueprint reading and general construction site experience.
- Excellent management capabilities combined with supervising experience in residential or commercial projects.
