Choice Builders
Luxury Custom Home Superintendent
Cedar City & Brian Head, UT | Full-time | On-site (3 yr REQ)
About Choice Builders
Choice Builders is a veteran-owned, award-winning custom home builder serving Cedar City, Brian Head, and Southern Utah. We are known for craftsmanship, clear communication, and a values-driven process. Our mission is simple: build homes the right way and deliver a building experience rooted in honesty, integrity, service, results, and personal growth.
We specialize in high-end, architecturally driven luxury homes. Many of our projects are mountain homes built on steep or uneven terrain, often in snow, freezing temperatures, and limited winter-access conditions. These projects require thoughtful planning, disciplined execution, and steady leadership year-round.
We are hiring a Luxury Custom Home Superintendent who takes pride in quality, communicates clearly, and thrives in complex custom builds.
About The Role
This is a custom superintendent role, not production. You will manage 2-4 luxury custom homes at a time, including homes in Brian Head's high-altitude environment. These projects include unique details, engineered designs, and premium finishes. The work requires:
What You'll Do
Run the field with ownership and consistency, focusing on schedule, quality, and trade coordination
Oversee all on-site activities from foundation to finish
Coordinate trade partners and ensure work meets plans, specifications, and luxury-level craftsmanship
Review architectural and structural plans; anticipate and resolve design conflicts before they become issues
Maintain the project schedule and communicate milestones to clients and internal teams
Partner closely with the Project Manager and Selections Manager to verify finishes, fixtures, options, and specifications
Work closely with a dedicated Project Administrator for permits, invoicing, purchasing, and documentation
Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites and uphold site standards
Complete accurate daily logs, photos, and field documentation
Hold trade partners accountable to quality, timelines, and professionalism
Perform final completion, punch-out, and warranty prep with exceptional attention to detail
Manage the unique challenges of mountain construction, including weather, access, staging, and safety in high-altitude conditions
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a superintendent who communicates clearly, stays ahead of the work, and delivers consistent, high-quality results.
Required Qualifications
3 years of superintendent or project lead experience in custom or high-end residential construction
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and design plan sets
Experience managing quality-driven trade partners
Excellent communication skills with homeowners, designers, and project teams
High attention to detail and craftsmanship standards
Ability to work safely and effectively in mountain and winter environments (snow, slope, cold-weather sequencing)
Tech-competent with smartphones, tablets, email, spreadsheets, and construction apps (we use Microsoft Office and Buildertrend)
Alignment with our values: Honesty, Integrity, Service, Results, Growth
Clean driving record, background check, and drug screening
Willingness to complete a pre-employment aptitude assessment
Preferred
Buildertrend experience
Experience with mountain homes or challenging topography
Experience with high-performance residential construction
Familiarity with Southern Utah trade partners
Why This Role Matters
Custom homes are the heart of our brand. They require steady leadership, excellent communication, and disciplined execution. This role ensures that each home reflects the quality and care our clients expect and that our standards remain exceptionally high.
Why Join Choice Builders?
Build architecturally driven luxury homes with a respected, values-driven builder
Work with a collaborative team that supports your success
Take true ownership of your projects and craftsmanship
Competitive pay, strong benefits, and long-term stability
Location Matters
This is a boots-on-the-ground role. Daily jobsite presence in the Cedar City and Brian Head area is essential.
Candidates who already live nearby -- or who are sincerely committed to relocating to a smaller, outdoor-oriented community -- tend to succeed and stay long-term.
We are looking for someone who wants to plant roots here and grow with our team.
