Responsibilities
- Lead design and plan production for transportation improvement projects, including municipal, public (DOH/DOT) and private development work.
- Develop transportation geometry, grading, drainage, and construction plans from preliminary through final design
- Prepare engineering calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Support and manage project tasks, schedules, and deliverables to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, survey, geotechnical, and environmental staff
- Contribute to project scoping, budgeting, and proposal development efforts
- Assist with client coordination and support ongoing client relationships
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related) is required
- 6 years of relevant transportation design experience
- Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) or ability to obtain in West Virginia is required
- Experience designing and performing quality assurance using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or InRoads is required
- Experience with transportation design, including geometry, grading, and drainage
- Familiarity with DOT standards (WVDOH experience preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
